The Godly Woman/Mother      

When we look back on all the trouble our mother went through to keep us protected, fed, and cared for, we realiize how much we owe her.  You can see the pattern of nurturer in almost every mother and realize how beautifully God designed women and motherhood.  It is often a thankless job, especially in today’s world when many mothers are worn to a frazzle trying to juggle so many tasks, including outside jobs.
 
Christian mothers are a special gift because they realize that above all else, the most important thing for their child is that he/she is baptized as soon as possible and thus brought into a saving relationship with Jesus.  Every day in those young lives is important as Mother trains them to grow up in Jesus and models his love in the way she cares for them and their souls.  Teaching them to pray, to talk about Jesus, to share their faith, to learn God’s word.  We thank God for mothers like that and rise up and calll them blessed.  Next Sunday we will honor our mothers in a special way.  Bring another mother with you!
